oral down, one paper down.
one paper to edit/rewrite, and two exams to go.
good news: the strike isnt including long trains, ie trains to vienna. so 9:40 pm thursday night, I am off to Vienna, Munich, Berlin, Zurich, Bern, and Geneva. I could cry, i'm so excited.
another thing to be excited about is that the day i get back from fall break is the day they turn the heat on in my apartment!!!!!! i think what i will remember most from this semester is being freezing. berlins gonna be in the forties next week. gah.
a LOT of people are either going back over to the western side of the world for fall break... mostly to see boyfriends/girlfriends. or their parents are visiting. im jealous, but not jealous enough to not be totally stoked about how im spending my fall break. part of me thinks that going back to the states is stupid though. why study abroad if you cant be here longer than a month without seeing your beloved boyfran (AVPM, if anyone notice the reference). anywho, some girl is paying for the trip herself to go back to duke to see her boyfriend she jsut started dating a month before coming here. her parents dont even know. i was like whooooa. hold on. healthy? i think not. besides, you live in the US!!! people need to see europe! but again, priorties are generally different than mine. though i cant say im not jealous of the people who get to eat good food at restaurants with their parents. :(
there's talk of a prague trip... we'll see.
anyway i still have a whole bunch of hurdles to jump before then. meh.
we watched a movie today in fam and gender that i had seen a scene from in magic, religion and science at duke. pretty cool connection :)
